Best House Sitting Websites in 2017
Here are some of the best house sitting websites around! I’ve tried most of these and really enjoy them. I hope you will too.
Global House Sitting Websites
Trusted House Sitters ($100 annual fee)– Trusted House Sitters is the biggest house sitting website, with the most postings of new opportunities on a daily basis. But it comes at a price. They won’t like me for saying this, but I recommend you check out the opportunities on this website (for free) and then check on the smaller websites like the next 3 websites to see if the same opportunity is available there. If it is, then creating a membership on the other websites will cost you less.
House Sit Match ($50 annual fee) – This platform works more with videos, where both the house sitters and owners have to upload videos. Much more interactive than some of the other platforms, but more time consuming as well! I think this platform gives the best representation of both the home owner and the house sitter. So if you are serious about house sitting, this one is for you.
House Carers (Free!)– What’s most awesome about this platform is that it is completely free. They also have a paid option which allows you to get more detailed listings and better opportunities.
Mind My House ($20 annual fee for house sitters) – My personal favourite. I have found all the coolest house sitting opportunities on Mind My House. It’s definitely not the biggest but a lot of the house sitting opportunities are awesome!
Nomador (up to three free request) – Great choice for finding house sits in Western Europe!

Luxury House Sitting Websites
Luxury House Sitting ($25 annual fee) – This website offers the most luxurious house sitting opportunities, but because of this it is generally more difficult to secure a place on this platform. I would say this is one for more experienced house sitters that have previous experience.
Caretaker.org ($50 annual fee) – This website offers a much more rustic feel, and has been around the longest. It has a wealth of useful information pertaining to house keeping best practices.
Sabattical Homes ($40 listing fee) – This website is specifically for academics (faculty staff, students, teachers, independent scholars). This is a great alternative way to travel for students.

National House Sitting Websites
House Sitters America ($30 annual fee) – House Sitters America is a great place to start if you are looking for opportunities in the United States
Aussie House Sitters ($65 annual fee) – As the name suggests, this website is dedicated mainly to the Australian market.
House Sitters UK ($30 annual fee) – Best one to use for UK-specific house sitting opportunities.
Own a house and want to generate income while you travel? Consider Corporate Housing By Owners (CHBO).
At no extra cost to you I will generate a small revenue if you end up signing up through the link above. This really helps this website continue to help people like you and me! It’s a great website that offers a service that can make you considerable money. I met a woman in Cambodia who was making $2000 USD a month through this platform.
